COVID-19 Updates*

Richmond Yacht Club
COVID-19 Update - October 27, 2022

Effective Thursday, October 27, 2022, RYC has eliminated all COVID-related restrictions.  Specifically, vaccination is no longer required for access to the clubhouse and the upper deck.  Our regattas will no longer be subject to vaccination or masking requirements.  And, as has been the case since February 2022, masks are no longer required inside (or outside) the clubhouse.  These changes are consistent with policies now in effect in Contra Costa County and California overall.

However, we continue to ask that members, guests, and contractors maintain a heightened awareness of and respect for others inside the clubhouse and on Club grounds by having a mask ready to wear whenever approaching or in the company of others who are masked.  Keeping our membership and staff safe is the duty of each individual member of our community.  Our staff may continue to wear masks in the galley, bar and office.  Please respect their efforts to avoid infection.

We also continue to ask that members, guests, and contractors avoid the Club if they or someone in their household becomes infected, that people cover their coughs and sneezes, and that they notify the Club if they test positive after visiting the Club.

Finally, please remember that seasonal infection surges and new variants could require us to re-introduce restrictions if the need arises.
